Our colleague Ioan Baciu’s PhD thesis (on the place of social procurement in the EU’s internal market economy) has just been awarded the prestigious NISPAcee Mzia Mikeladze Award!

The Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee) was established in 1994 by the most prestigious academic institutions in the region with the main goal to respond to the changing and increasing role of Public Administration during the post-Soviet political and economic transition in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its conception, NISPAcee has made remarkable contributions to the development of national and regional public administration and local governance practices across the CEE.

The Mzia Mikeladze PhD Thesis Award aims to encourage research on public administration and public policy in the NISPAcee area and to acknowledge outstanding work and a significant contribution in the field. It thus represents an extraordinary recognition of Mr. Baciu’s academic efforts and we warmly congratulate him for this great achievement!
